We are pet lovers and problem-solvers. The inspiration for our flagship product, Poop Alert Detect, came from a frustrating but common experience: losing poop among leaves or in the dark. Dogs instinctively leave the pack to do their business, so by the time we notice, our dog may already be off playing again. We're get to the general area, but sometimes we search for quite a while. Other times it vanishes among the leaves.

This common problem sparked an idea in our founder, a physicist and inventor specializing in remote sensing.

He developed Detect to locate dog poop by its heat signature, up to 15 feet away. He next invented Poop Alert Wearable, a small device for dog collars that senses the distinctive walk and “poop dance” dogs perform before doing their business. It then notifies the owner with GPS directions to the exact spot.

Wearable solves the oft-occurring problem of distracted pooping. While we socialize at a dog park, a friend may have to call attention to our dog squatting nearby. Sometimes no one notices—and a land mine is laid... in wait for the unthinkable. Wearable prevents this by sending an alert directly to your phone, guiding you to the location recorded by its onboard GPS module. If the deposit is camouflaged when you arrive, Poop Alert Detect helps you quickly zero in so you can get back to your conversation.

Detect and Wearable are standalone devices—you don’t need both. Together, however, they provide added peace of mind and enhance the shared experience of pets, people, and their communities, while significantly reducing the risk of “stepping in it” for everyone.
